Organisations of all shapes and sizes are invited to enter one or more of the 12 categories.


To be in with a chance of winning an award in 2018 you must submit your entries by 5.00pm on Friday 8th June 2018.  

Shortlisted applicants will be notified at the end of July and winners announced on the night.
Applying for the Awards is simple and applications are accepted from any business.

Category Criteria

Community Responders Award

To recognise an outstanding community responder scheme which has provided life support care using a defibrillator

 

Educational Award

To recognise any outstanding school, college, university or educational scheme that has invested in lifesaving equipment on site and who has provided employees, students and individuals with lifesaving skills and helped to create heart safe environments

 

Property and Construction Award

To applaud outstanding achievements of construction or manufacturing business that has invested in lifesaving equipment and that complements their first aid procedures by having a defibrillator on site

 

Fundraiser Award

To recognise a tireless fundraiser who has gone beyond all expectations to raise funds for a heart related charity to create heart safe environments within their chosen community

 

Large Business Award

To celebrate an outstanding business with over 100 employees, which has invested in lifesaving equipment and staff training to provide a heart safe environment for their employees, customers and visitors

 

Leisure Industry Award

To recognise a business from any leisure, tourist or sports venue which has invested in lifesaving equipment and staff training to provide heart safe environments for their employees and visitors

 

Lifesaver of the Year Award

To recognise an individual who has personally saved a life using a defibrillator and lifesaving skills at work, home or in the community

 

Not for Profit Award

To celebrate an outstanding Not for Profit organisation, which has invested in lifesaving equipment and staff training to provide heart safe environments for their employees, customers and visitors

 

Professional Services Award

To recognise a business from the ‘Service Sector’ such as financial services, legal, supply chain providers to dentists etc who have invested in lifesaving equipment and staff training to provide heart safe environments for staff and customers

 

Public Sector Award

To recognise an outstanding organisation including: local authorities, police, fire, ambulance, coastguard, mountain and sea rescue services, to Infrastructure companies who have invested in lifesaving equipment and staff training to provide heart safe environments for their employees and the public

 

Retailer Award

To applaud an outstanding shopping centre or retailer, which has invested in lifesaving equipment and staff training to provide heart safe environments for their employees and customers

 

SME Business Award

To celebrate an outstanding business with over 1 - 99 employees, which has invested in lifesaving equipment and staff training to provide heart safe environment for their employees, customers and visitors

 

Special Recognition Award

All organisation and individuals from each category that have been shortlisted will be entered this category.

This award will recognise an individual, a group or organisation who are deserving of special recognition. They will have achievements which have contributed to saving lives, sharing lifesaving skills, or making a difference to a business or community.
