Hosts Hand on Heart Charity

Over the past 8 years Hand on Heart have worked tirelessly to create awareness of sudden cardiac arrest as well placing defibrillators in to schools and communities across the UK. We have successfully ran a number of campaigns that have focused on particular areas and made sure that every school within those catchment areas have a Defibrillator as part of the first aid kit.

As hosted to the UK Heart Safe Awards we are immensely proud to have been able to over the past 7 years recognise a large number of companies, who have created heart safe environments within their offices and on their construction sites ensuring that staff are trained and visitors, customers and the local communities have access to defibrillators. Many individuals have also been praised for their acts of willingness to help others in a lifesaving situations – all of which is pretty amazing.

During the 2018 awards evening, we saw the biggest number of attendees in the room with 357 guests that include 93 finalists and raised thousands to ensure more schools could be offered fully funded defibrillator and training packages.

It is a testament to the UK Heart Safe Awards that the corporate community want to be involved in them and want to be recognised for their Health & Safety of others.

It is also the support of our many sponsors over the years that these prestigious award events are able to be held – we therefore would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank this year’s new headline sponsor – Philips and our category sponsors for their generosity and commitment to the UK Heart Safe Awards 2019.
