The award evening is an emotional and heart-warming night with stories shared from survivors and their families of children and adults of cardiac arrests, highlighting that sudden cardiac arrest can happen to anyone at any time.

That the importance of having defibrillators and the need for bystanders to perform CPR whilst waiting for the emergency services to arrive can make a huge difference.

Fundraising Coordinator for Hand on Heart Lesley Appleton commented “We are so proud that the UK Heart Safe Awards have become such a prestigious event, reaching its 9th year.

With Philips - one of the charities founding Partners onboard as headline sponsor, we are delighted that they can experience what these awards mean to so many people.
